DuPage County has launched the TCARE system to help clients create individualized programs for caregivers. The Caregiver Resource Center also offers other programs and services for the client and the caregiver that can be found on the county’s website. Residents also can access an online directory of services at 211DuPage.gov for information on assistance available.
Families are the primary source of support for older adults and people with disabilities in the U.S. Many family caregivers work and provide care, experiencing conflicts between competing responsibilities. Research indicates caregiving takes a significant emotional, physical, and financial toll.
The Caregiver Resource Center provides resources for both the client and caregiver to help keep the resident safe in their home for as long as possible.
