Poverty Reports and Information

The U.S. Census Bureau releases state and local data related to income estimates, poverty rates, and health insurance coverage numbers from the American Community Survey. The Social IMPACT Research Center of Heartland Alliance has a series of user friendly fact sheets that contain analysis of the latest poverty trends, income dynamics, and health insurance coverage estimates for the most recent year released by the Census Bureau.

The American Community Survey helps local officials, community leaders and businesses understand the changes taking place in their communities.  It is the premier source for detailed information about the American people and workforce.  For more information on the Social IMPACT Research Center at the Heartland Alliance, click on Heartland Alliance Social IMPACT Research Center.
