On 03/28/23, The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded $2.8 billion to support HUD’s Continuum of Care (CoC) grants. These provide critically needed funding to approximately 7,000 local homeless housing and service programs serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

In the $2.8 billion of total awards, approximately $80 million was made available for non-competitive Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) renewal and replacement grants. The 2022 awards also include over $52 million for new projects that will support housing and service needs for survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.

The list of awards made to the DuPage CoC IL-514 is listed below. The total awards for the DuPage County CoC were $6,429,004. This includes the CoC Planning grant. All new and renewal projects applied for in both Tier One and Tier Two were fully funded. In addition, the new DV bonus project was awarded. This is an expansion of DuPagePads Haven of Hope project for an additional $295,692.
