The application window for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program will re-open on Thursday, Sept. 1. DuPage County will begin taking calls Wednesday, Aug. 17, to schedule appointments for residents seeking financial assistance to help pay their gas and electric bills. Applications will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis for income-eligible households through May 31, 2023.
